Welcome to our new Physio Hamish!

A big welcome to a new member of the Foundation Physiotherapy team at Aspire & First Ave, Hamish Lockwood.

Hamish is originally from Hamilton, and has recently moved to the sunny Bay of Plenty with his family.

He studied Physiotherapy at the University of Otago and spent two years working in the Waikato before travelling to the UK. It was there he developed his passion for sports injuries while working at a large teaching hospital in Scotland and playing semi-professional rugby (picking up a few injuries of his own on the way). While taking a break from rugby he completed the London Marathon in 2010 and continue to have an interest in running and the injuries that come with it.

Hamish completed his Masters degree in Advanced Physiotherapy at the University of Salford in 2016.

With 15 years experience in Physiotherapy, Hamish is passionate about giving high quality care to his patients, ensuring they are back to their best.
