EFX allows us to assess your movement patterns and identify any and all imbalances, weaknesses and strengths. With this knowledge we can safely, effectively and efficiently provide training programs that are perfectly suited to your individual needs and ability level.

What Is Suspension Training?

Suspension training utilises body weight and forces the body to employ all of its core, stabilisers and all the major muscles.

It is totally progressive and regressive, allowing for any level of fitness and ability to train and do a complete body workout, performing a large range of purely functional exercises, concentrating on perfect form and movement patterns. Improving your ability to perform everyday tasks or sports specific movements with greater ease, while completely transforming your body.

Due to the progression and regression suspension training, the EFX training programme accommodates athletes in training, people new to training as well as people needing rehabilitation from injuries.

Due to the partial suspension and the ability to incorporate additional muscles into regular functional movements, EFX training allows for complete control of movements resulting in greater mobility and increased form.

Movement Matters

We focus on functional movement patterns and teach you to do these simple movements right. EFX sessions reduce the risk of injury, increase flexibility and mobility while conditioning and strengthening muscles in the correct way.

Correct form and technique is critical as it allows you to function better through a full range of motion. This can reduce the risk of injury and make everyday tasks easier.

Ability levels, like you, are unique so all training is based at your personal ability level. We encourage safe progression to ensure you reach your goals without the risk of injury.

We have incorporated progression and regression into all of our programs and techniques allowing for the greatest variety of clientele to participate in increasing overall strength, power, mobility, flexibility, balance, rehabilitation and cardiovascular stamina.

The weight is over

Body weight training is a safe and effective form of training that can lead to far greater results than other forms of strength training. EFX utilises your body weight along with various modalities including EFX Suspension Straps to ensure you improve your strength, cardio stamina, posture and balance.

All this leads to greater results than normal strength training techniques, as stabiliser and core muscles are always activated, constantly burning more calories, while doing a full body workout, aiding in weight loss and a better lifestyle. By combining strength and cardio you maximise muscle activation with increased results, and increasing calories burnt per session.

Our programs cater for individuals from Elite High Performance Athletes, down to the general public who just want to be more agile, powerful and flexible. Programs have been designed incorporating knowledge and techniques from institutes, coaches, trainers and athletes allowing you to get into shape quicker and maintaining it.

Our workouts combine power, agility and balance training, utilising bodyweight, suspension training, Swiss balls, resistance bands and power bags as various sports require a widespread physical demands. Our training will keep you going when the others have thrown in the towel.

Adventure EFX is specifically for younger people/teenagers and team environments.

The programs promote healthy, active living from an early age, while being a fun and stimulating environment. We believe that we should be encouraging our children to develop their sporting and interpersonal skills through group classes.

We ensure that the programs are suited to specific age groups, function specific and are enjoyable.

Classes are broken down into various segments that keep kids engaged in the program. It is important to know that this is not a harsh, military-style Boot Camp and there is NO shouting at your kids. The environment is designed to be a place where the kids can just be kids.

HIIT EFX

H.I.I.T = High intensity interval training. HIIT consists of short, intense bursts of exercise with either active recovery (like less intense exercise) or complete rest in between.

We pay personal attention to your needs and improve your training experience. Our high-intensity training programs elevate the post-workout metabolism more than a standard workout, which results in more calories burned and greater results.

In 30 minutes, HIIT classes focus on the large muscle groups to get a great cardio and metabolic workout.

Back care programme

If you have had repeated back problems or are recovering from a spinal injury ask about our back care program. This is an evidence based specialised program to improve strength, core stability and flexibility.

The program includes:

  • A comprehensive assessment by a qualified physiotherapist who specialises in back pain.
  • 2 x 30minute EFX classes per week for 8 weeks. Each class has no more than 6 participants and includes individualised programmes overseen by either a physiotherapist or our sport scientist.
