Physiotherapists are specifically trained in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries or conditions that lead to pain and discomfort. Our physiotherpay team have a specific focus on active rehabilitation from injury. We assess muscles balances and prescribe specific exercises to restore function so you feel stronger and more flexible.

Foundation has experienced, post graduate qualified physio's in the field of manipulative and sports physiotherapy. All physiotherapists complete regular professional development to ensure that we are all equipped with the latest clinical findings in research treatment modalities. We have an onsite gymnasium to ensure you lay foundations in order to achieve optimal outcomes.

Our ACC & private surcharges increased on the 1st of May 2018. These surcharge prices are now based on the experience our physio's have. All our physio's are extremely qualified but some have been in the industry for longer and our surcharges reflect that experience. If you have any questions regarding these changes, please do not hesitate to call us on 07 5795601.

Do you offer physiotherapy for non - sports related patients?

Yes. A lot of our normal, day to day work involves working with people who have suffered work place or home injuries. We also do a significant amount of post-operative rehabilitation utilising our on-site gymnasium.

What happens at the appointment?

The physiotherapist will take a thorough history of your complaint and find out how your injury is affecting you. They will also read any relevant referral material that you may bring along from perhaps your surgeon or GP. The physiotherapist will then complete a physical examination, including a thorough assessment of range of motion, strength and biomechanical issues.

Your physiotherapist will provide a working diagnosis and explain this to you in a user friendly way and answer any questions you might have. They will then formulate a plan of treatment in consultation with you and set both long and short term goals for your personal recovery plan.

Can I get ACC on physiotherapy Appointments?

Yes, if you have suffered an injury that involves a specific external force within certain timeframes you will be able to lodge an ACC claim with us. There is no need to see your GP first as physiotherapists can lodge ACC claims for you.

How long are the physiotherapy appointments?

Our treatment time frames vary depending on the nature and complexity of your injury. In general, initial appointments are 45 minutes long and follow up appointments are 30 minutes or longer if needed.

What should I wear to my physiotherapy appointment?

Your therapist will ask you to reveal the injured area so please wear clothing suitable for this. If you are uncomfortable with this please speak with your therapist. We do however have shorts, singlets and tee shirts for your use and privacy as well.

Please try to wear clothing that is appropriate to your compliant, e.g. if you have a sore knee when you run, please bring some running gear and your running shoes!

Do I have to book in advance?

Yes. Just give us a call on 075795601 or fill out the form below and one of our admin team will get hold of you shortly. In general we should be able to offer you an appointment on the day.

You can request a male or female therapist and also request a physio that has specific experience in a particular sport or area of the body, e.g. post-operative shoulder rehabilitation.

Be sure to let us know if you are an ACC patient, New or Returning Patient.

How do I choose the right Physiotherapist for me?

Meet our team to find out more about our backgrounds and how we can assist you. Also our administrative team have an excellent understanding of how our therapists work and their areas of speciality, they therefore will be able to book you in with the therapist that best suits your injury.

What are the treatment costs for physiotherapy sessions?

Our surcharges are based on the experience our physio’s have.  All of our physio’s are extremely well qualified and we have a robust professional development plan.  Some naturally have been in the industry longer, and our surcharges reflect that.
