ABOUT TAYLOR...
Image

Originally from South Africa, I had spent the last 4 years studying down south, graduating from the University of Otago in 2020 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree.  On completion of my studies I moved up north to the sunny bay of plenty to start my Physiotherapy career at Foundation.

Growing up I played a lot of sports and spent many hours in the swimming pool and on the football field competing at a national level which resulted in a fair share of injuries. That however gave me the opportunity to work alongside many great Physios that helped me get back to playing and competing. I learned a lot from them that not only helped me in my full recovery but also helped me become a stronger athlete. This inspired me to become a Physiotherapist where I can combine my passion for sport and health to help others recover from injury and return to the sports field stronger.

Over the last few years I had the privilege of working with many premier league football teams in Dunedin and Christchurch and national league teams: the Canterbury Dragons and Hamilton Wanderers. Currently, I am the Physio for Tauranga City Football Club. I love meeting new people, working with people, and helping people from all stages of life make a full recovery, helping them get back to their lifestyles and doing what they’re passionate about. I enjoy working alongside people to provide them with the tools and guidance to help them achieve their functional and sporting goals, and being there to encourage them along the way.

I am loving being closer to my family and enjoying the sunshine Tauranga has to offer. When I am not working or on the football field, I enjoy being outdoors going on adventures with family and friends, paddle boarding and swimming. I love being a part of the foundation team, working alongside and learning from many amazing Physios. I look forward to continuing to develop my Physiotherapy career here at Foundation.
