About Lauren...

I was born and bred in the big smoke Auckland. Growing up with two very competitive and active brothers, sports became a strong passion of mine from an early age. My love and passion for all sports resulted in a fair share of my own injuries and physio sessions. It was from here that I decided to focus my career on helping others get back to full function.

I graduated from Otago University in 2013. After graduating, I spent a few months indulging my other passion of travelling around North America and then made the big move down to the beautiful bay of plenty. Following this I returned back to university to complete my post graduate studies in Acupuncture in 2016. I have been privileged enough to work with some amazing sports squads over the last few years; Otago university football association, Porirua North premier and senior rugby squads, Mt Eden under 21s rugby squad, Under 16 Wellington Hurricane rugby squads, Bay of plenty womens U18 sevens, and Tauranga sports mens sevens.

I have a love for sports rehabilitation and really enjoy the challenge of post-operative rehabilitation. I love helping patients regain their full function and achieve and maintain their personal goals, whether it be in sports or normal day to day activities. I have a very hands on approach using a combination of massage, manual therapy, mobilisation, acupuncture, exercise and also have a strong focus on prevention and education. Currently I am lead physiotherapist at Inside Running Rugby Academy based at Athlete factory and Tauranga Sports Rugby Club.

When I'm not working, I enjoy playing basketball, tennis and getting out and about in the sunshine with friends and family. I love living in the sunny BOP and working closely with an amazing group of people at Foundation.
