I'm Jessie, a competitive distance runner from Mount Maunganui. I've recently completed my Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics and I now work as a Performance Dietitian for the Magic Netball Team, Northern Districts Cricket Association and in my own practice Sustain Speed Nutrition.
Running is a huge part of my life, not only competitively but socially and mentally too, I just love it. I train as part of the 'North Harbour Bays Babes' women's squad, which is an inspiring and motivating environment to be in. The last year I have been recovering from a ruptured plantar fascia, followed by a second plantar injury on the opposite side. I was able to briefly return for a successful road and cross-country season in 2023. Prior to injury, I was a part of the gold medal National Senior Women's Road Relays team, the winner of the Auckland Marathon 11km Traverse and a finalist for multiple years in the National Track and Field Champs 800m and 1500m.
In 2017 I won Foundation Clinic's own Mauao Half Marathon and hope to race this in 2025! I have big goals for the second half of 2024 and with the help of Foundation Clinic can't wait to make them happen!
