Emma Rathbone


Emma is a fully registered hand therapist who specialises in treating patients with acute injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and fractures. She graduated from Otago University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education, focusing on exercise prescription and science, followed by a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Emma was awarded the Otago Physio School’s Athletic Shield Award for her sporting achievements and academic excellence.

Since 2010, Emma has been working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist in Taupo, and in early 2017, she began specializing in hand therapy, which she absolutely loves. In her spare time, Emma enjoys keeping fit, going to the gym, and spending time with her family, where she is kept busy with three young children.
