I had the privilege of growing up on a farm near Taupo in a very physical and active family. Whether it was farm work, water sports on the lake and rivers, trips to the snow or walks up the beautiful mountains and through local bush, there was always something to be involved in.
My own real interest and involvement in sport and physical activity began when I moved to Tauranga as a teenager and my family became members of a Crossfit gym. It wasn’t long before I too, was enjoying the benefits of Crossfit workouts.
I had been considering a career in Physiotherapy and during my search for training options I stumbled upon the Diploma in Therapeutic and Sports Massage (L5) and didn’t hesitate to apply.
My friends and family always believed that I would take up a profession that involved working with children. I have always had a very natural way with children and am told that I am a child magnet.
Since qualifying in 2022 with a Diploma in Therapeutic and Sports Massage, I have been offering both Sports Massage and Cupping Therapy from Crossfit Pāpāmoa giving me the opportunity to put in to practice my skills as a Massage Therapist.
I am in love with the many and varied benefits that Sports Massage and Cupping Therapy provide clients from all walks of life and physical demands.
